Spa by Windham

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

1-spa.jpgOne of our newest collections of fabrics comes from Windham.  It’s called “Spa” because it contains all those soothings aquas, brown, greens, and whites.

These prints would made a quilt or bag or just about anything else you can think.  Take a look next time you are in the shop.

2-spa.jpgThis was one of those collections that we couldn’t decide so we just got it all.

We decided that this collection would make a great diaper bag.  Kathryn got right to work and made the Mama Mia bag practically overnight.

mama-mail-250.jpgThis is a brand new pattern from Favorite Things. It was designed as a diaper bag and changing pad.

It seems so many things are patterned for little girls, but this collection of prints would work great for a boy or girl.

For those of us not needing that those items, this would just be a great tote bag with lots of pockets.  The rings that attach the handles and hold the flap closed add a very interesting accent to this bag.

The pattern sells for $14.98 and you will find it on our website shortly.

Great New Flannels…just in time for Summer!!

flannel-250.jpgWe have one of the best selections of flannel that we have been able to offer in a long time.  There are some great pieces that are bright, young and contemporary.

It always seems harder to find prints for little boys, but we have gotten in quite a few new ones.

It might be hot outside, but there is always a place for flannel for babies and kids.

Two of our newest collections are from Robert Kaufman.

flannel-closeup.jpgKaufman’s new collections are Flitter Flannel and Urban Blooms.  Both collections mingle quite well with each other.

There are dots, butterflies, paisleys and flowers.  We’ll be thinking of what we want to make, but be sure and check them out next time you are in the shop.

Update: You can now find these on the Flitter Flannel and Urban Blooms page of our website.

New Fabrics

10-felicity-200.jpgThis is an exciting time of the year for us as we see lots of new fabrics coming into the shop….some just ordered at market and some we have been patiently waiting for.

This new line is by Felicity Miller for Westminster and it is so 50’s Retro with just a fresh new look that makes us all want it again.

These are now up on our website on our Gypsy by Felicity Miller page.

10-serifina-250.jpgIf you are a little more traditional, then you will love Serifina by Maywood.  They make such a great feeling piece of fabric.

The blacks, reds, green, and rusts make this line very appealing.

There is actually a great plaid tucked in with these bolts that you can’t really see.  The tone on tone florals are just lovely.

10-marakesh-250.jpgThis is another new line from Maywood called Marakesh.  When this one arrived one of the gals thought it would make a great Christmas runner that could be used other times of the year also.

This line has some really interesting lights which always seem a little hard to find.

We are including some close ups of several of the larger prints so you can really see the detail.

10-marakesh-150.jpg10-marakesh-151.jpgThese are just two of the signature prints in the line.  Look for these up on our website soon  and I know we won’t be able to resist making a model from these great prints.
