SHHHH!!! Please be respectful of our need for silence as we contemplate our next moves. Our names are Rascally (accent on the second syllable, please, in the Russian manner) Rasputin, and my opponent is Vasily Nicolai Romanov. He, by the way, claims to be descended from the ill-fated House of Romanov of Imperial Russia, but as he is prone to exaggeration, I do have some questions about his lineage. Still, there IS that lovely little Faberge egg he keeps in his room, so I give him the benefit of the doubt. I myself am from simple peasant stock. My family were hard-working mousers on the imperial farms, but after the days work was done, my Uncle Igor taught all my generation the art of the chess board, feeling it was one way we poor country cats could ascend to the ranks of the intelligentsia. I have been inducted into the World Chess Hall of Fame, being the only feline to ever garner the title of Grand Master. |

If you look closely, you will note that the pieces are actually figures of CATS and dogs... I, of course, always choose the cats, and always, always win. |
